From the people who talked with me on the phone and met me on a rainy Saturday morning, to the people who delivered to my remote farm, I was treated as if I were important and my opinions mattered. All of the people I came in contact with were both friendly and professional. And as much as I like the people and their business model, I am equally impressed by the furniture. Surfaces are beautiful and wonderful to touch. There is a solidity and heft to each piece that only high quality furniture has. Attention to detail is evident, as is fact that the pieces were designed to be both functional and comfortable to use. And yet, they are also terrific to look at. I currently have four Lilly chars (two small and two medium), an Industrial Green dining table, a Manhattan dining table converted for use as a ping pong table, a Lilly side table, an Industrial Green bench, and a platform bed, all in a variety of finishes and options. And I feel good that CounterEv has put a priority on sustainability, using recycled wood, zero voc stains and environmentally friendly processes. I don’t know what else to write but Wow!

CounterEv is AMAZING. We ordered dining and console tables, as well as a table runner, and we could not be happier. Every step of the way, the people who work at CounterEv have been courteous, helpful, patient, and extremely professional. We were nervous about stain choices and had lots and lots of questions. Maddy always replied in a timely fashion and put our minds at ease. I can't stress enough just how happy we are with the service we received. The pieces we ordered will be enjoyed for years to come. I have been eyeing this piece for well over a year! I finally made the decision to purchase this beautiful piece with a pop of color, I think my delay was I could not commit to the stain and color. My splash media console arrived yesterday and I'm so thrilled about it! I have a projector and needed a coffee table that elevated/had some shelving, and the media console is a perfect fit in my space. I love the colors and the construction -- it looks so nice. I own a large table, cutting boards, a Lazy Susan (among other Counterev items) and each one is beautifully crafted and a joy to look at, touch, and use. Each piece is beautifully designed and hand crafted, and the results are OUTSTANDING! We are addicted to the Buffalo Green collection! We've had a salt cellar from them for over a year now and use it every day. We love ours so much that we purchased multiple pieces (salt cellars, napkin rings, tea candle holders) as presents for different family members this year. Their larger furniture pieces are absolutely beautify and we just want to touch them every time we walk into the Brooklyn store. We can't wait to see what other home accessories they come up with!

CounterEV's furniture style is unique and recognizable as their own.
We purchased a dining table and chairs. After living with their kitchen chairs for over 6 months we have come to appreciate the forethought put into the ergonomics and design. The chairs have the illusion of modern angles but is genuinely comfortable. The quality of the wood and build is heavy and sturdy and beyond anything new or antique we have seen. Even though it was not our intention, those who visit our home compliment the table and chairs. Jill is kind and helpful, the owners were prompt answering some questions even though they were not in the store. Jill helped us in Catskill. We will absolutely return to CounterEV when we eventually need a desk.

My family was in the bowling business for over 60 years, so we have a soft spot for CounterEv furniture. We recently ordered an industrial style bar-n-counter for use as a rolling island in our kitchen. Because our kitchen is small, we needed a piece smaller than the "stock" items on the website. CounterEv worked with us to design a beautiful custom piece that we are thrilled to have in our house. The craftsmanship is wonderful and the customer service was excellent. We previously ordered a king-size bed that we also love. Our home was recently on a holiday homes tours and many people admired our bowling lane furniture. I highly recommend CounterEv.

I have long coveted a console after having seen one in the CounterEv workshop window in Catskill, NY. While I await this purchase and plot how I will fit it into my less than spacious New York City abode, I have rewarded myself with a few mini tables that should tide me over.....for a little while longer.

CounterEv made a custom table and matching bench for me that I love. The quality of the craftsmanship and materials is excellent. I have a long, narrow kitchen, which I also use as an office. I can tuck the bench under the table to make more room. One thing I notice is how few knots there are in the grain, which can be a problem with pine if the wood isn't selected carefully. I actually don't see any on the surface, and a few very minor ones on the bottom side. They did a great job.

The title of my review says it all! The most amazing hands-on styling service I’ve experienced with any furniture store. I can’t believe how helpful and honest they were with all their ideas. The staff even helped me find beautiful chairs that would go with our arrangement. The end result was the most stunning custom dining table and bench that is the center-point of my entire living space! Everyone that comes to see it falls in love. We placed a small order from CounterEv after seeing their showroom in Brooklyn. Really love the stool we got, and it fits in so well in our apartment. They were out of the stool feet when our order shipped, but they sent them to us shortly after and support was responsive.

We renovated our kitchen this year and we’re looking for a table for our nook. CounterEv’s Manhattan table was perfect. We were able to order the stain and size that fit wonderfully with our design. We did run into a little glitch when the first table delivered was not the exact stain ordered but I can’t say enough about the customer service. Our contact person, Maddy, responded immediately arranging for an expedited order and leaving that table for our use until our table could be swapped out!!
The quality and uniqueness with refurbished, vintage bowling lanes is definitely a conversation piece!

We purchased four dining chairs and two end tables to furnish our new apartment in Brooklyn, and we love them all! We push the end tables together to create a coffee table that can be separated into two parts - very convenient when we’re snacking on the couch. The furniture is stylish and practical at the same time. It’s held up perfectly over the past six months. Plus I’m a bowler so I love that it’s all made with reclaimed wood. Recommend!

After purchasing two square coffee tables( See Tony D review below) we loved the pieces and decided to come back for our next furniture purchase. The bar stools and bench are gorgeously perfect. Customer service, Maddy, Stephanie(Brooklyn shop) , delivery (they are part of the Counterev family!!!!) were are spectacular.

I love my new custom CounterEv kitchen storage table. I have a fairly small kitchen so I needed something compact. The order process was easy, gave them the dimensions and other details, they even matched the color of my wall to the legs and metal shelf, and I received such wonderful and personalized customer service. Even though the height was wrong on the piece, customer service was outstanding and soon enough the correct piece was delivered and the other one picked up by two incredibly nice employees. I couldn't be happier with the piece, the style, the quality, and the customer service. Need to call out Maddy, who is amazing and super responsive, who never had me wait long for an answer. Highly recommend CounterEv if you're looking for something unique, environmentally friendly, and custom made. Big thumbs up!

Bought a 3 piece coffee table from a floor model sale. Is sturdy with a lovely finish and gets comments from the bowling alley markings all the time. Nice shopping experience.

We had our CounterEv console table delivered today and love it. The table is beautifully made. The entire process working with the CounterEv team was easy, from purchase at their Brooklyn City Point store to delivery took less than 5 weeks and their customer service was excellent. Highly recommend checking them out if your looking for high quality furniture. We had looked at Design Within Reach and Room & Board but their prices we're almost 2x and feel the CounterEv product is far superior.
